Position Summary::

Responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in Legal Studies. Will teach 12 credit hours per semester. Service as befitting an individual at the level of Instructor.

The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies at The University of Alabama invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Instructor beginning August 16, 2022. Responsibilities will include teaching large undergraduate lecture sections of Legal Environment of Business. The course examines the role of the law on all aspects of business ownership and management, including topics such as legal ethics, court procedures, torts, contracts, consumer law, property law, employment law, environmental law, and international law. Responsibilities may also include teaching additional legal studies courses, as well as performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

This is a non-tenure earning position renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no promise of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Salary is competitive.

Minimum qualifications are a law degree or a degree in a closely related field. Prior experience teaching large lecture sections is preferred.
