Responsibilities Maintain a clean and tidy lab environment (picking up and delivering research packages to making simple solutions and stocking the laboratory with essential items for experiments to be properly carried out). Assist in cell culture, tissue collection and following assays The duties include, but are not limited to:

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical trials research.Preferred Qualifications Cell culture, animal husbandry, and molecular cell biology techniquesKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality
Willingness and ability to work with research animals
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learn
Ability to complete work, meet deadlines and work independently with only general supervision
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritization skillsShift/Salary/Benefits Shift: Days/M-F Pay Grade: R9 Salary: $13.01/Hourly Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: Until FilledConditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

- Assistance in mouse, rat breeding
- Assistance in mouse, rat genotyping
- Cell culture, experiments in primary human cells. Western blot, PCR
- Daily lab maintenance including ordering/inventory, check/fill liquid nitrogen tank on a weekly basis and provide support for lab members as needed, point person for all equipment repairs or scheduled performance maintenance visits and coordinate with lab members, as needed; contact person for hazardous waste pickups.
- Other related duties/tasks as assigned.
