VIRGINIA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY (www.vwu.edu) invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Management, Business, and Economics, with expertise in Accounting. An earned doctorate in Accounting, or a terminal degree such as a DBA, Ph.D, or J.D. in a related discipline with Accounting expertise, is required at the time of appointment. A CPA or other professional designation as well as professional experience in Accounting is highly desired. The position begins in fall 2022.  

The University seeks a candidate with a strong commitment to teaching, cross-disciplinary collaboration, student advising, and research. The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse multicultural community.  Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate courses in Accounting such as Principles of Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, and Business Law, and graduate Accounting Information and Management Decisions. Courses are taught in both in-person and online formats. The salary is competitive, and the University offers an attractive benefits package.
