Assistant Professor of Psychology

DeSales University’s Department of Social Sciences housed in the Division of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences invites applications for a full-time non-tenure position as Assistant Professor of Psychology to begin August 2022. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the fields of developmental psychology and cognitive psychology. The candidate should be able to teach courses in cognitive psychology, human development, research methods in psychology, and senior seminar. The candidate is expected to mentor students in research projects. The faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, maintain an active program of scholarship and professional development, and engage in service to the University. Online teaching experience desired.

A Ph.D. or PsyD is required; A.B.D. will be considered.

A university record of teaching is preferred.

This is a non-tenure position, but the successful applicant can take advantage of long-term contracts with the possibility of conversion to tenure in the future.
