This posting is a pool specifically for the Early College Program. Job requirements listed are specific to Business, Accounting and Computer Information Systems. Duties listed in this posting are general in nature and will vary depending on location. Specific job duties will be explained during interview. Compensation: 3 credit overage or reduction is equivalent to 7.5 hours per week or 120 hours for the semester. Length of Assignment: Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Summer 2022

General Summary: Navigators provide essential learning support through one on one communication with our students, developing campus events, sharing knowledge of CCAC and collaborating with other college departments to promote academic and personal success thus encouraging the retention of students by helping them achieve their goals at CCAC.

Job Specifications:

The minimum requirements for this position can be from any of the three areas listed below.

1. MBA from an AACSB accredited institution preferred or a postgraduate business degree from an accredited institution. Undergraduate and graduate courses must include accounting, management, economics, finance, business law and marketing. Specific courses may have other requirements as deemed appropriate by the discipline (or department).

2. Master's degree in accounting or related business field with 18 undergraduate or graduate credits in accounting or passed the CPA exam. Specific courses may have other requirements as deemed appropriate by the discipline (or department).

3. Master's degree in Information Technology, Information/Data Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related technology field is required. Must possess expert level knowledge and communicate concepts at an introductory/intermediate level in technology fields including networking, operating systems, cybersecurity, data analytics, programming and web development.

All Navigators must be able to teach a variety of methodologies including face-to-face, online, hybrid and video conferencing.


Job Duties:


  • Develop an educational plan and set goals for students
  • Provide individual and group coaching that supports academic success
  • Facilitate workshops on time management, note-taking, test prep, and study skills
  • Refer students to on- and off-campus resources for additional support services
  • Initiate, identify and maintain contact with identified students, including regularly-scheduled group and individual meetings, maintaining communication on reporting data to the Early College Department.
  • Implement proactive measures to help identify students whose basic needs are not being met and help those students with identifying those resources that are available at CCAC.
  • Refer students to internal college services and guide them through campus policies and processes as needed (ex. Counseling Services, Advising, Supportive Services, Success Coaches, Learning Services, Career Education, etc).
  • Maintain comprehensive case management records and communication strategies that ensures follow-up, evaluation, and feedback to students and key stakeholders for each case. Provide accurate records of interactions with all students and data for internal and external compliance requirements.

  • Initiate and maintain contact with identified students, including regularly-scheduled group and individual meetings, maintaining communication on reporting data to the state.
  • Submit weekly reports and serve on relevant committees as required or requested.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.


  • Clearances: Current criminal record/child abuse clearances will be required if offered the position and in order to be employed at the College. The three clearances are Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Records Check, and Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Criminal Background Check.
