Job responsibilities:

This position includes research (40%), teaching (40%), and service (20%) responsibilities in Accounting.

We seek scholars who can produce research of excellent quality that can be published in top tier (top six) and high quality journals. Teaching loads are commensurate with research oriented faculty and consists of 4 courses (3 credit hours each) per academic year at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. We value faculty who are good corporate citizens and who will contribute to the service needs of the accounting area.  This position is a full-time tenure-track appointment.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for an Assistant Professor is $195,000- $205,000 Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in accounting or another appropriate and closely related terminal degree.  If candidate does not hold a Ph.D. in accounting or another appropriate and closely related terminal degree, candidate must have an anticipated Ph.D. completion date that occurs prior to the beginning of this appointment.  Candidates must have prior research experience OR prior teaching experience in a higher education setting.  Candidates with prior academic experience must provide evidence of teaching excellence and a strong record of outstanding publications in top tier accounting or related journals.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited university, prior experience in both teaching and research in a higher education setting, or interest in administration.
