Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

  • Familiarity with a modern Javascript framework such as React or Svelte
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming
  • Basic understanding of web accessibility
  • Basic understanding of web responsiveness
  • Ability to translate non-technical feature requests into technical requirements
  • Experience with a distributed source control system such as git

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of React or Svelte
  • Strong understanding GraphQL
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript
  • Ability to use Docker to develop and deploy applications
  • Demonstrated ability to create responsive and accessible web applications
  • Experience with the architecture and development of a robust server-side API
  • Understanding of databases (MongoDB and/or MySQL) and how they relate to the development of web and mobile applications

Job Description:

Overview

We are hiring a software developer with experience in TypeScript and React / Svelte. This individual will divide their time between supporting and maintaining our existing applications and contributing to the development of new applications.

We work with a wide variety of technologies with a focus on NodeJS, TypeScript, GraphQL, React, Svelte, Docker, and Ansible. About You

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the relationship between a client application and an API. You should be familiar with how to write a web application using a modern framework. The right candidate will be able to solve problems in a self-directed manner. Most importantly you should be comfortable in an environment where you can freely give and receive feedback while developing APIs, data structures, and writing HTML and CSS.

Job Duties:

  • Develop features and fix bugs on existing applications
  • Participate in the requirements gathering and development phases of new software applications
  • Develop integrations between major applications
  • Deploy Docker containers to servers
  • Implement client-side UI based on Low and High fidelity designs
  • Communicate regularly with teammates about problems, solutions, best practices, and other technical topics
  • Build and deploy applications

Additional Information to Applicants:

If selected for an interview, applicants will be required to complete a short take-home programming and deployment assignment.

This is an on-premises position with a somewhat flexible 8a-5p work schedule.
