The Opportunity
The UT System Office of Employee and Organizational Development (EOD) embraces life-long learning and provides all employees with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Each year EOD delivers a wide variety of facilitated workshops, seminars, and conferences for the benefit of UT faculty and staff. Additionally, EOD offers a growing number of self-paced eLearning courses at no cost to employees on a full spectrum of topics—making it convenient for employees to meet their development needs.

The Learning and Development Coordinator responsible for working collaboratively with internal and external business partners to provide system-wide consulting, assistance, and support for design and implementation of synchronous and asynchronous learning. The Learning and Development Coordinator, reporting to the Executive Director, will have primary responsibility for event planning, program design and development for major conferences and certificate programs to include working closely with the Executive Director to ensure success of the UT Leadership Institute. The Learning and Development Coordinator will work closely with the Sr. Learning Consultants and the LMS Coordinator to meet the learning needs of campuses, institutes, departments, and employees statewide.

The Learning and Development Coordinator supports a culture of engagement and belonging by treating others with dignity and respect at all times, and by exhibiting conduct that reflects a commitment to inclusion, diversity, and engagement (IDE.) The successful candidate will respectfully communicate and cooperate with all employees and will actively participate in diversity awareness learning and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and eradicate racism in the workplace. The Learning and Development Coordinator is also expected to contribute to the systemwide mission and fully embrace the University’s Be One UT Values.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Required Qualifications:

    A bachelor’s degree in a Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resources or related field.Two (2) years experience in designing, developing, and facilitating adult learning in a professional environment to include conference and event planningOne year experience in designing and developing eLearning courses using eLearning softwareOne year experience consulting with constituents on learning solutionsKnowledge of adult learning principles and their applicationKnowledge of eLearning development principles and technologyKnowledge of how to design and deliver learning courses and curriculaFacilitation and written and verbal communication skills Microsoft officeeLearning software and technology

Preferred Qualifications:

    A master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Human Resources or related field.Experience in providing learning opportunities to employees in a higher ed environment Graphic design and video production experienceSupervisory or program management experience
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone, Articulate, Captivate or similar
  • Needs analysis experience
  • Conference and large group learning design and management
