Position Title:

Adjunct Faculty - Accounting

Position Description:

The Accounting Department in the Norm Brodsky College of Business at Rider University seeks adjunct instructors for the Spring 2022 semester, which runs from January 24 – April 29, 2022, and Summer 2022 semester, starting May 16 – June 29, 2022.

Specific courses are listed below.

MACC 663 Fraud and Forensic Accounting (3 Credit)
Taught Wednesday 6:30-9:30 pm, in-person. Description: This course provides a background in all areas of forensic accounting including fraudulent financial reporting and the detection of fraud, money laundering, and transnational flows, courtroom procedures and litigation support, as well as cybercrime. A wide variety of teaching tools are employed including extensive use of professional literature, case analysis, videos, role-playing, and text materials.

MACC 652 Analysis of Accounting Data (Summer 2022)
Can be either in-person or online. Description: This course uses information technology and data analysis techniques to conduct analysis needs commonly faced by accounting professionals. The course uses cases and projects to pursue such areas of decision concern as financial statement analysis, the evaluation of audit risk, and selected additional topics.

Position Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in the area in which teaching

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in the area in which teaching
  • Must be proficient in the use of data analytic software, including software similar to MySQL, Tableau, Python, and Excel in accounting and finance contexts.

Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

  • Prior teaching experience
  • Industry experience
  • CPA or other relevant professional certification
