Description:

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pediatrics Hospitalist Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, in partnership with the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans (CHNOLA), is seeking a full-time academic Pediatric Hospitalist to join our faculty group.  Our team works closely with the pediatric hospitalist division at the LSU Health Sciences sharing clinical services at CHNOLA.   

The Department of Pediatrics at Tulane is committed to providing excellence in education, clinical care, and research. The selected candidate will become actively involved in all aspects of teaching including training medical students and residents.  CHNOLA is a 222- bed, not-for-profit regional medical center offering the most advanced pediatric care to children from birth to 21 years. With over 40 pediatric specialties and more than 400 physicians, Children's Hospital is the first and largest full-service hospital exclusively for children in Louisiana and the Gulf South.

As a University employed faculty member, you will receive a negotiable salary commensurate with experience, and a fully comprehensive benefits package, and relocation allowance.


Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must be board certified/eligible in General Pediatrics and be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana by start date.  He or she must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent and conversational skills in Spanish is desirable. Successful candidates will have outstanding patient care skills, a strong desire to share their knowledge with students and residents, and participate in advancing the quality of care at Children’s Hospital. Faculty members are expected to contribute to the advancement of scholarly or educational activities in the department.
