Description:

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at Tulane University seeks to hire a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin January 10, 2022, with expected renewal for the 2022-2023 academic year. The successful candidate will teach three courses of beginning and intermediate Spanish language per semester.


Qualifications:

Applicants must have the Ph.D. at the time of appointment, native or near-native proficiency in Spanish, extensive university teaching experience, and a strong commitment to second-language pedagogy.


Application Instructions:

Submit letter of introduction, CV, two letters of recommendation, one-page statement of teaching philosophy, and a ten-minute video of you teaching an innovative lesson in the target language. Review of applications will begin on November 1.
