The position requires at least an Associate’s Degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.

Job Description :

Assignments are typically technical or analytical, requiring specific skills and specialized knowledge. Responsibilities and tasks are typically routine in nature.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer applicants with experience: (1) operating metal shop equipment to include shears, drill press, band saws, chop saws, iron worker, grinders, chippers, and various hand tools, (2) conducting routine maintenance on various types of welding machines and equipment, (3) working in a welding fabrication shop or completion of a welding vocational training program, (4) inventory control, (5) shop safety practices, (6) using Microsoft software such as Word and Excel.

Supplemental Job Information:

Key job duties include: (1) maintain control of shop inventory to include hand tools and consumable supplies, (2) perform minor maintenance and light repairs on shop machinery and equipment, (3) preparing the welding lab for class, and (4) assisting students with class projects.
