Purpose of the Position:Under the direction of the Student Union Dining Operations Manager, the incumbent has overall responsibilities in all facets of residential and retail dining to include: receiving, inventory control, delivery and storage.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's) and/or Competencies required and preferred:Required:
Ability to read and write
Demonstrated basic math skills
Knowledge of basic material handling
Working knowledge of receiving, storage, equipment usage and maintenance
Good organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work in extreme temperatures
Ability to work in congested work areas and areas where wet processes are used
Ability to wear protective footwear
Ability to communicate with the university community
Ability to lift and move heavy objects
Ability to report to work from 5 am to 2 pm, Monday – Friday and weekends as needed
Preferred:
Working knowledge of food services operations to include refrigerator/freezer temperatures
Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license.
Experience Required: Previous experience working in a receiving/storage facility. Previous experience with inventory control. Previous supervisory experience.
Experience Preferred: Previous experience working in restaurant. Experience working within food service in a college/university setting.
