Program Manager, Accreditation and Process Improvement

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision from the Director, the Program Manager will be expected to carry out various duties associated with the everyday operation of the department, coordination of accreditation and process improvement activities for the college. The main responsibility of the Program Manager, Accreditation and Process Improvement is to ensure accreditation requirements are achieved through effective management of the assurance argument system and accreditation visits and manage continuous improvement of institutional processes.

  • DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Collaborate with the team in planning, development, and coordination of accreditation requirements and actions; and process development and improvement of processes. Manage the preparation and submission of reports and studies that are required from the Higher Learning Commission, Iowa Department of Education, and program accreditors.Lead the provision of proper facilities, equipment, training, and materials to meet the needs of the accreditation visits.Continually monitor any changes in requirements from the Higher Learning Commission, Iowa Department of Education and program accreditors, then direct procedure or process changes necessary to ensure the college is in compliance.Lead the collaboration with departments in order to facilitate development, documentation, and improvement of institutional processes.Collaborate with other departments and offices in the college to foster communications and services to meet the needs of students and staff.Facilitate the development of college-wide Key Performance Indicators that align to the college’s strategic plan.Lead process improvement exercises within the college.Appraise the adequacy of and compliance with established processes and internal control procedures through interviews, observations, records examination and other audit techniques.Collaborate with the compliance team to help gather, store and review support documentation.Perform internal consulting services and special projects by collecting and analyzing data.Support college-wide initiatives through project management.Coordinate with IE team and support as needed the Innovation, Strategic Planning, and Institutional Research initiatives. Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Establish and maintain good team working relationships with students, colleagues, staff, administrators and the general public.Use strong interpersonal and organizational skills to establish working relationships with a wide variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds within and outside the College.Maintain a high level of integrity, judgment, and discretion while working with confidential and sensitive information.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

    The position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 Years of related experience is required.
  • Possess excellent business and technical writing skills.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

    Working with accreditation requirements and/or process improvement.
