Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry is currently recruiting for a Child Psychiatrist (MD) to fill a faculty position in the Child and Adolescent Division. This is a full-time, (1.0 FTE), multi-mission, non-tenure track faculty position. This position will provide outpatient and inpatient services for the department of psychiatry and pediatric collaborative care both in person within a pediatric primary care clinic and with outlying rural practices by distance communication. There is also the opportunity to develop specialty services and programs within the child psychiatry ambulatory environment. In addition, this position will play a key role in teaching students, psychiatry, pediatric residents, and scholarship in promoting the missions of the division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Florida. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications.

The department is seeking a dynamic individual with outstanding clinical skills to provide patient care in General Psychiatry as well as an aptitude for clinical education and teaching. The applicant should possess experience and/or training or other background in pediatric psychiatry and behavioral health including skills in the evaluation of lifespan trajectories, psychiatric and medical comorbidities, and/or the application of clinical knowledge and skills/interventions to address the needs of children with complex medical and psychiatric needs. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams and diverse populations.


Qualifications:

Applicant must have completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.  Applicant must be Board Certified and/or Board Eligible MD  and must have or is able to obtain a State of Florida Medical License.
