Pay Grade/Pay Range: 55 Hourly (non-exempt) - Minimum - $ 12.61 Midpoint - $ 18.29

Department/Organization: 850101 - Student Involvement & Leadership

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: Under limited supervision, assists the department head or director in the day-to-day operations of a program. Oversees the program support, general office, administrative and secretarial duties with some variety and complexity. Typical duties may include overseeing some aspects of the program, acting as the main liaison to other offices within the University as well as external contacts, maintaining budget records, supervising other support staff and-or students, arranging meetings-itineraries-agendas, typing a variety of material, compiling data and preparing reports, and purchasing office and program supplies and materials.

Additional Department Summary: Promoting the mission and vision of Student Involvement and The SOURCE, the Division of Student Life, and the University, the Program Assistant provides programmatic, administrative and financial support for Student Involvement and The SOURCE. As needed, the position may assist with functions pertaining to Student Engagement initiatives of which Student Involvement is a stakeholder. The position serves as an initial point of contact for members and leaders of the over 600 registered student organizations at UA and for any students interested in getting involved on campus. The position is also responsible for completing required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace.

Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent and three (3) years of general office experience; OR Associate's degree and one (1) year of general office experience; OR a Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree and one (1) year of general office experience or a Bachelor's degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. Experience working with college students. Experience managing fiscal operations for an office or unit.
