Job Summary:

The Compliance Support Specialist performs a variety of complex (journey-level) administrative duties supporting information technology-related compliance initiatives. Reports directly to the Director for IT Risk and Compliance in the Information Technology Services department. Handles confidential and sensitive information. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

This position requires graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business, information systems, or related area. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Experience and training can be substituted for education. Higher Education experience is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures.Knowledge of project management principle.
Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for electronic and information resources is preferred.Knowledge of WCAG 2.0 or newer guidelines is preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and small groups.Ability to use critical thinking skills to analyze problems and make recommendations for improvement.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to work independently and on a team.Ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff effectively and professionally.Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.Ability to follow established college policies and procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and use of correct grammar.Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including the use of advanced features (e.g., track changes, document formatting, spreadsheet formulas, and charts). Proficient with Microsoft Visio or comparable flow-charting program.Demonstrate flexibility while working in a changing business environment.

SALARY :

$35,000 to $45,000

Work Hours:

40 hours a week. Some overtime maybe required.
