Position Information: DescriptionThe Air Traffic Control Associate instructs and evaluates student performance.  Teaches Avit 103 – Introduction to Air Traffic Control, and Conduces air traffic control instruction in Adacel and UFA air traffic control simulators.  Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Chair of the Air Traffic Control Program.

Duties & Responsibilities
    Assist air traffic control instructors in instructing and evaluating student performance Monitor student in the air traffic control simulators to insure compliance with all air traffic control rules and regulationsEvaluate students in the simulators and classroomGrade papers, tests, and quizzesFill in for instructors during absencesProctor tests and quizzes
Teach Avit 103 – Introduction to Air Traffic ControlBe responsible for classroom and lab instruction for Avit 103 – Intro to ATCTeach Avit 103 Lab – Introduction to Air Traffic ControlGenerally consists of, but not limited to the following:Maintain lab appearanceBuilding and developing simulator scenariosPrepare flight progress strips  Required Competencies
    Motivated self-starter with ability to perform without direct supervisionExcellent communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions concerning training problemsGood team building skills
Minimum Requirements
    Bachelor’s degree in Air Traffic ControlExperience with both Adacel and UFA Air Traffic Control simulatorsExperience with UND Air Traffic Control Training ProgramSuccessful completion of criminal history records check

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification$35,568/Exempt

Work Schedule/Start DateMonday – Friday, some variable hours
