Job Summary This role will supervise program and reporting requirements for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships (OSFA) with a focus on compliance with Federal, State, and Institute regulations and policies regarding financial aid. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

This position will interact on a regular basis with: Leadership and staff within OSFA, Bursar, Registrar, and Admission, academic units, students, and parents.

This position typically will advise and counsel: OSFA staff, students and families, and other campus units both administrative and academic

This position will supervise: Assigned staff

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Provide support and leadership for OSFA with emphasis on eligibility and compliance with federal and state financial aid regulations

Job Duty 2 -
Collaborate closely with OSFA leadership in establishing policies and procedures governing the award and distribution of financial aid resources with emphasis on federal and state compliance

Job Duty 3 -
Determine the eligibility for programs including federally funded Title IV student aid, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Grant in Aid, state funded programs, and Georgia Tech (GT) funds

Job Duty 4 -
Oversee all program and reporting requirements that relate directly to student eligibility for and compliance with Federal, State, NCAA/Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Division I, and Institutional regulations and policies

Job Duty 5 -
Supervise assigned staff to ensure effective daily operations in handling NCAA-ACC Division I athletic certification

Job Duty 6 -
Oversee compliance of awarding, verification, and packaging completed by the processing team including review and reconciliation of any potential over-awards

Job Duty 7 -
Responsible for Federal Return of Title IV funds and cost of attendance calculation and recalculations of student eligibility

Job Duty 8 -
Implement summer processes and determining awards for summer semester cohorts specifically those entering first year, new transfer students, and graduate students

Job Duty 9 -
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience
Three to four years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience
Five years of job-related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple tasks concurrently. Work experience that demonstrates ability to manage and document details. A work history of dependability and progressively increasing responsibilities.

SKILLS
Required skills: Working knowledge and experience with BANNER Student and/or BANNER Financial Aid Modules.

Preferred skills: Accounting knowledge and/or experience. Student service experience at an institution of similar size or type.
