WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Department of Counseling invites applications for one full-time non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor beginning July 1, 2022. We seek highly qualified candidates who have a commitment to excellence in teaching. Specific responsibilities include teaching online and on campus courses to undergraduate students and master’s level counseling students. It also includes advising undergraduate and graduate students, as well as providing service and leadership to the department, university, and counseling profession.
The Department of Counseling at Wake Forest University offers a CACREP-accredited Master of Arts in Counseling degree with both School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling tracks, as well as an undergraduate minor in Health and Human Services. - Earned doctorate in counselor education from a CACREP accredited program
- Licensed or license-eligible to practice professional counseling in North Carolina
- Evidence of effectiveness in teaching and clinical supervision
- Experience working with and teaching diverse students
- Experience in teaching and developing online and on campus courses
- Addiction counseling experience and credentials
- Experience in teaching master’s level courses in addiction counseling
- Experience with program development and coordination
