Detailed Description:
The School of Leadership and Education Sciences at the University of San Diego launches its inaugural Diversity Postdoctoral Faculty Program with the hiring of three postdoctoral faculty members, one each in the areas of: Learning and Teaching, Leadership Studies, and Counseling and Marital and Family Therapy. The goal of the Diversity Postdoctoral program is to support the development and preparation of tenure-line faculty with emphasis on those from BIPOC communities whose scholarship centers on race, anti-racism, critical diversity, equity, social justice and their intersections.

Post-doctoral faculty members will be appointed for two-years. In addition to their appointment within their respective academic departments, the three Postdoctoral faculty members will support the design and development SOLES-wide anti-racism initiatives vis a vis the SOLES Office of the Dean.

Postdoctoral faculty will be assigned a faculty mentor, will be part of a professional learning community to strengthen their scholarship and teaching and will receive targeted support and professional development through SOLES' Office of the Associate Dean.

Candidates who have not yet held a tenure-track faculty position will have priority. Appointment includes a competitive salary, benefits package, and travel funds for conference participation. For full consideration, materials must be received by November 15, 2021.

Job Requirements:	Postdoctoral faculty members should have doctoral degrees in the areas of education, counseling, marital and family therapy, leadership or closely related fields and should clearly delineate in their cover letter which of the three departments they are applying for. Applicants should have a strong academic record and a burgeoning research agenda. Candidates must have completed the PhD no earlier than Spring 2017. The doctoral degree must be completed prior to January 2022 (for Spring 2022 start) and September 2022 (for Fall 2022 start).
