Position Description:

The Data Analyst works collaboratively with theDepartment of Medicine and University of Toledo Physicians (UTP) to support dataanalysis and reporting related to UT-initiated and extramurally-funded qualityimprovement/other research projects. 

Qualifications:

TheData Analyst must be able to use analytical skills to drive corrective measuresand needed education.

RequiredEducation/Experience/Licensing:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or associated field
Minimum five years of experience with data analysis, Microsoft Excel and coding software applications
Experience may be substituted for education

Preferred Requirements:
Experience with Athena EMR strongly preferred
Experience with Epic EMR strongly preferred
Proficiency with SQL preferred
Experience working in a healthcare environment
Graduate of an accredited American Health Information Management Association approved HIM program
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification

Must have exceptional working knowledge to operate a computer in a Windows-based environment utilizing various software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Athena, and CliniSync to produce and manage essential reports and correspondence. Must be able to utilize computer keyboard proficiently
Demonstrates ability to work with minimum supervision, while applying analytical skills to carry out instructions
Detail oriented to provide consistent and accurate outcomes


Reporting Relationships:

Thisposition reports to (will be an employee of DoM Research Project Center).
