Job Description:

This position is part of the ICT Collaboration Platform Team, which is responsible for administering a hybrid cloud/on-premises environment delivering email messaging and M365 services to the UF community. This position is primarily focused on supporting M365 cloud-based applications and services. Experience with Exchange on-premises and Exchange Online in large-scale environments is preferred, but not required. The incumbent will utilize scripting and automation tools to improve processes, work collaboratively with a team of administrators on the delivery of services, and provide excellent customer service to the UF community. The position will participate in medium to large-scale projects affecting the entire University community.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:

  • Exchange on-premises/online maintenance and administration.
  • Managing M365 cloud services, e.g., (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Azure AD, etc.)
  • Active Directory maintenance and administration.
  • Scripting and automation using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • General Windows Server (2012-2019) administration.

    Expected Salary:

    $90,000 – $105,000; commensurate based on education and experience. In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package. https://benefits.hr.ufl.edu/

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

    The ideal candidate will possess the following education, experience, and skills:

    Expertise with:

  • M365 Administration (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure AD)
  • PowerShell
  • Active Directory Domain Services
  • Windows Server (2012-2019)
  • Familiarity with:

  • Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Microsoft SQL, AD Connect, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), Microsoft Licensing
  • Git, Ansible, Terraform, and Nagios
  • Mail flow concepts (Routing, DKIM, SPF)
  • DNS
