Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

Position will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that directives from department managers are being carried out. In the absence of upper level leadership this position will administer, cross-check, evaluate other employees work. The position will require a schedule of every other weekend, when groups are on center. In the event of a personnel issue, the employee will contact the appropriate supervisor, as no direct disciplinary action will be required with the job position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

Maintenance and Housekeeping skills are necessary for the position. Will oversee projects in areas of maintenance and housekeeping. Guest Set-ups to include audio/visual equipment, stages, tents, pipe and drape, HVAC systems, lighting, televisions and plumbing, ensuring that all are working correctly in the guest cabins and buildings. Assist with breakdowns when events are over, including trash removal. Candidate must be able to supply housekeeping items as requested such as linens, blankets and deal with minor cleanups as a result of plumbing problems. Good organizational skills are necessary to follow through with group contracts, as well as ensuring items are placed back in the correct storage area, cabins and buildings are returned to normal standards including turning off lights, locking doors and setting thermostats back. Other duties may include grass cutting/edging, replacing light bulbs, fixing minor leaks, plunging and snaking toilets. Solid customer service focus is critical.

Physical Demands:

Stand, sit, stoop, bend over for long periods of time, work in adverse weather conditions and lift at least 50 pounds. Driving.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist and insure guest set ups are accurate which may include Audio/Visual, Stages, Tents, Pipe and Drape, HVAC systems, lighting, televisions and plumbing are working correctly in the guest buildings and cabins. Ensure that walkways to guests buildings are blown and free of debris. Touch up ballfield lines when needed. Inspect off center areas such as the effigy, pioneer and Scott sites, Delegate work assignments throughout the day, when other maintenance staff is scheduled.
