The UNF Coggin College of Business is searching for a technology-orientated webmaster who can develop and maintain the entire website for the University of North Florida Coggin College of Business. The webmaster is responsible for a wide range of tasks, including writing, designing, editing, and consulting around web content. Proofreading and editing skills are important components within this role. The incumbent will create and curate web pages, ensure content is up to date and accurate, monitor website use and trends, and ensure that the visual identity and strategic priorities of the college are reflected across all web pages.

This position requires technical abilities, someone who works well with others, and someone who can receive constructive feedback and incorporate various levels of revisions into final webpage content updates and design.

Coding or knowledge of computer programming is strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

(80%) Handle all website content update requests across multiple departments, updating and arranging data and content flow throughout unf.edu/coggin. Support each Coggin department in maintaining web presence through designing, conceptualizing and assembling online content. Ensure all web content is in compliance with university policies standards. Must conduct regular tests using accessibility tools as part of the ADA certification process, report findings and provide support and training to other college content editors.

(20%) Serve as a technology/webmaster liaison between Coggin and the University of North Florida Marketing and Communications university webmaster. Attend UNF web trainings and relay relevant web information back to Coggin. Meet with the Associate Dean for Faculty, Administration and Research to determine projects, brainstorm creative direction, and develop strategies to reach internal and external target users.

Required Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have working knowledge of website design, usability, and functionality.
  • Knowledge of computer programming is strongly desired.
  • Must have strong writing skills to spot errors and correct web content when needed.
  • Ability to manage multiple web projects and department requests simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the UNF website and the Coggin College of Business.
  • Completion of COP 4813 internet programming.
  • Knowledge of accessibility and WCAG accessibility standards.
  • Prior experience in digital communication and website development a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter with personal motivation to complete projects with little oversight.
  • Prior experience working with UNF’s website design interface system the Content Management System (CMS) is a plus.
