(Contingent upon available funding): 16.20 - 21.90, Hourly Work Schedule: usually 8-5 M-F with occasional evenings or weekends Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: The Senior Audiovisual Technician position consists of setting up and supporting broadcast equipment in a master control environment as well as a mobile environment, troubleshooting AV systems, programming AV systems, repair of Classroom teaching components, help ticket entry, control center operation, and other duties related to broadcast/AV technologies. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading systems with customization as necessary. Provide support to system users and resolution, requirement definition, implementation, training, documentation, system evolution, system improvement, conversion and other related tasks and projects as assigned. May occasionally work early mornings, evenings, weekends to set up special events. This role presents potential exposure to RF and/or laser radiation and electrical power.

Position Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
HS/GED and two years of related experience OR Bachelor's Degree. The candidate for this position should have the ability to think logically and clearly regarding audio and video technologies to include classroom technology and broadcast technology. The candidate should also be able to perform basic tasks on multiple OS platforms. The candidate should have some knowledge of AV systems and broadcast workflows. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. when moving equipment.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Engineering, Computer Engineering MIS, Engineering, or a related field. Two or more years related work experience
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to develop new ideas while understanding the implications of technical and logistical factors.
-Requires complex and original thinking.
-Some knowledge of Crestron hardware/software a plus.
-Some knowledge of broadcast production workflows.
