(Contingent upon available funding): 53,580.00 - 69,480.00, Salary Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, 8am - 5pm Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: This position will lead small teams of experienced professionals working together to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information and technology resources. This position involves the development, implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Information systems for the OSU/A&M System Institutions. This position will serve as a technical leader to train other team members. This position will be responsible for gathering requirements from customers, performing systems analysis and design, creating application mock-ups, coding applications, creating test plans and implementation plans and testing applications. This position will also be responsible for maintaining project documentation through the course of the project as well as User documentation. This position will interact with other IT departments such as IT Security, Server Administration and Technology Support when building applications and troubleshooting issues that arise. This position will also interact with customers, either on the OSU main campus or at one of the A & M campuses during the creation and testing phases of a project. Position Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s in MIS, Computer Science or other related field. Two full years of related experience. Due to communication expectations of the position, the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbent will be provided additional compensation to base salary to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device or a University cellular device will be provided.
The position requires the ability to be creative and work on projects independently or as a member of a project team. Must be a self-starter, be results-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary in order to communicate effectively with other technical staff and end users at all of the OSU/A&M campuses. Must be familiar with application development methodologies; object oriented programming; Linux/Windows OS, W3C/508 standards and/or cyber security best practices.
Must have previous coding experience with 2 of the following: SQL, PHP; Visual Basic; C#; Microsoft PowerShell. This position also requires the ability to be creative and work on project independently or on a team.
5 years of related experience. Additional experience with one or more of the following: PL/SQL, HTML, Pearl, XML, CSS, Apache, IIS, Java, Java Script, Object Oriented technologies.
