POST DOCTORAL ASSOCIATE POSITION IN

THEORETICAL NUCLEAR ASTROPHYSICS

UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE

 

The Theoretical Nuclear Physics Group at the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates for one or more postdoctoral positions in Theoretical Nuclear Astrophysics to begin either in the Spring or Summer of 2022.  The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in the nuclear physics of neutron star mergers.

The Department has an exemplary research record, with seven professors earning NSF CAREER awards in the past eight years, eight professors among the world’s top two percent of physicists based on citation count, the award of the prestigious American Physical Society 2021 Bonner Prize, eleven APS Fellows, and three AAAS Fellows. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. required with completion by May 2022.
