Research and/or teaching experience in population health, managed care, health care quality, and/or long term care (e.g., aging in place, home care) would align well with program needs; however, exceptional candidates with experience in other health services areas may be considered.

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) Program at Hofstra University is a large and dynamic program with the mission to prepare a community of impactful, practice-ready health care leaders through the provision and application of a health services knowledge base, communication skills, and leadership development. Academic-based faculty as well as health care professionals provide expertise and resources to the program offering students a rich theoretical and applied foundation in health care administration. Hofstra University offers both a CAHME-accredited residential MHA program as well as a separate, asynchronous online MHA program.
Qualifications:Candidates must hold a PhD, or equivalent degree, by September 1, 2022. The Selection Committee encourages candidates with the following qualifications to apply: an established record or demonstrated potential for teaching excellence, scholarly activity, mentoring students, and working with community groups; familiarity with designing and teaching online asynchronous courses or the potential to excel in these areas, and an understanding of the CAHME-accreditation process or a willingness to learn the process.

Responsibilities
The successful MHA faculty candidate may instruct graduate students in residential and online MHA courses as well as courses in related graduate and undergraduate programs. The candidate will also mentor and advise students, maintain an active, collaborative research agenda, and actively participate in and contribute to program, department, and University committees and services, which includes participating in CAHME associated tasks, attending off-campus events, and working with student and community groups.
