Physician Clinician - General Pediatrics - 112458

This is a contract position with the possibility of extension and/or career conversion.

DESCRIPTION

THE DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS, Division of Academic General Pediatrics, Child Development & Community Health is seeking clinicians to provide patient care at our two pediatric offices in San Diego. Candidates must have California medical license/eligibility, board certification in Pediatrics, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in general pediatrics preferred. The Department has a strong commitment to clinical care and teaching.

We are looking for clinicians to provide direct patient care at our two clinical sites in San Diego and La Jolla. Assignments will also include supervising and educating residents and fellows in training, participation in division meetings, program planning and development of provider and patient education information. Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and locations based on the 24-hour business needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• M.D. or D.O. degree

• Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date

• Board Certified in Pediatrics

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Two (2+) or more years experience in general pediatrics practice
