HIRING SALARY: $17.00 per hour

HOURS: Up to 15 hours per week; Consistent Schedule; choose schedule on weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS: This position will be responsible for providing small group and one-on-one tutoring services to TCC students. This individual will be physically on TCC campus, while their provided student services will be a combination of virtual and in-person sessions.

Currently Seeking Tutors for the Following Subjects:

  • Programming
  • Pre-Calculus
  • Calculus I, II, III
  • Physics I, II
  • Chemistry I, II
  • Biology

MINIMUM TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: This position requires successful completion of coursework in the subjects applicant is interested in tutoring. A college degree is not required, but is preferred.

Applicants must upload the following items:

  • Recommendation Letter

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Successful applicants will be able to conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students needing assistance in STEM courses. Applicants must demonstrate good customer service practices such as greeting and directing visitors, phone etiquette, and other effective interpersonal skills. Successful applicants will possess working knowledge of Windows operating system, MS Office, online learning platforms, and related desktop applications. Applicants must take initiative to learn new technology (3D printing, new applications, etc.) and will be able to host brief “how to” seminars on these STEM topics. A positive and supportive attitude are highly regarded.
