Teaches masters level and/or doctoral courses (site based or online) as part of a regular Annual Faculty Load.

2. Establishes ongoing outreach efforts to maintain referral networks and collaborative relationships with community institutions and community service providers.

3. Executes secondary responsibilities in the areas of grant administration and compliance with relevant regulations, as applicable.

4. Creates and sustains activities associated with expertise and related academic programs.

5. Provides expertise to students and colleagues in the area of online teaching and learning.

6. Reviews and revises curriculum materials, course syllabi and/or instructional assignments to keep students apprised of current practical and theoretical research in their field of expertise.

7. Engages in scholarly research on topics of expertise; evidence of such research may be surmised via publication in scholarly journals, academic presentations and/or community service within the appropriate disciplines.

8. Reviews credentials of prospective and/or current adjunct employees and makes recommendations for their continued employment and/or teaching assignments, as requested.

9. Recruits new student populations.

10. Demonstrates a commitment to academic excellence as evidenced by previous work experience.

11. Searches for new funding sources, manages the completion of renewal grants, and researches and writes new grant applications.

12. Participates in academic committees at the Academic Center and throughout the University.

13. Serves as a Content Area Faculty in designated area (s) of expertise; possibly serves on doctoral dissertation committee(s).

14. Developes business contacts for expansion of educational programs that include, but are not limited to, collaborating with non-profit organizations, for-profit organizations, school districts and other external constituencies for the purpose of establishing profitable, academic partnerships.

15. Participates in the accreditation process of programs and in curriculum review committees, as requested.

16. Performs other duties as assigned or required.Marginal Job Functions:1. Assists in program administration including planning and conducting information meetings, faculty retreats, seminars, conferences and workshops.

2. Represents the program at state and national conferences, professional organizations and at recruiting events (conference booths, open houses, informational meetings, etc.), as requested.

3. Participates in professional development activities.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:1. Current experience in assessment and evaluation best practices and the ability to implement these approaches.

2. General knowledge of professional ethical guidelines, administrative functions, and personnel management.

3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

4. Demonstrated successful evidence of working with diverse groups of students.

5. Ability to collaborate and relate to students, colleagues and supervisory staff in an effective, cooperative and professional manner.

6. Knowledge of experimental and research techniques as well as statistical techniques used in testing and research.

7. Ability to use technology and technology-based innovative delivery systems.

8. Demonstrated excellence in teaching.Job Requirements: Required Certifications/Licensures:1. ASHA CCC in Speech-Language Pathology.

2. State licensure in Speech-Language PathologyRequired Education:Doctoral DegreeMajor (if required): Required Experience:Appropriate teaching and clinical experience in areas of specialization.Preferred Qualifications:1. Evidence of an active research and scholarship agenda.

2. Evidence of exceptional ability in college teaching at the graduate level.

3. Experience teaching in web-based distance learning environments and/or experience in web-based course creation and design.

4.
