Responsible for research study monitoring.

2. Verifies quality and accuracy of data.

3. Adheres to the study protocol and study procedures manual, completes all reports accurately and within the predetermined timeline.

4. Reviews study related documents, maintaining the project files and records for regulatory audits.

5. Responsible for maintaining study files and study reports.

6. Works closely with relevant groups as it pertains to research studies.

7. Assists in the establishment and maintenance of the laboratory facilities.

8. Establishes laboratory procedures.

9. Works with the University's biosafety and research services to adhere to University policies.

10. Participates in small groups, laboratories, and department and college wide committee meetings.

11. Participate in a productive and innovative research program, to obtain outside funding.

12. Actively participate in graduate and post-graduate teaching, training, and/or mentorship.

13. Conducts research and/or scholarly activity in a particular field of knowledge and publishes findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.

14. Writes grant proposals to procure external funding.

15. Reviews papers for publication in journals.

16. Supervises undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, scholarship, and/or research work.

17. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Physical Requirements:

Job Requirements:For Associate Professor rank: Continued professional growth and success in full-time university research/teaching for five (5) years at the rank of Assistant Professor; scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization that have received peer recognition.

For Professor rank: Continued professional growth and success in full-time university research/teaching for five (5) years at the rank of Associate Professor; significant scholarly contributions to the university, higher education, or one's academic area(s) of specialization that have that have been recognized as substantial by one's peers.Required Certifications/Licensures: Required Education:Terminal Degree (Highest degree in field of study)Major (if required):Ph.D., D.O., M.D., or M.D/Ph.D. degreeRequired Experience:Proven track record of external grant funding.Preferred Qualifications:1. Existing portable grant funding sources.
