Subject to Grant Funding?:No Essential Job Functions:1. Compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions, under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist to ensure prescriptions are prepared and filled accurately.

2. Organizes and orders inventory and supplies to ensure effective use of resources.

3. Verifies stock and enters data into the computer to maintain inventory records to ensure accurate receipt of orders placed.

4. Assists patients with purchases of over-the-counter medications and sundries to ensure customer service and patient satisfaction.

5. Assists the Pharmacist (under direct supervision) with the technical/distributive aspects of pharmacy practice to include gathering information from patients, data entry, counting or measuring dosages, labeling prescriptions, assisting with the preparation of pharmaceutical compounding.

6. Performs other duties as required by Pharmacist on duty, Pharmacy Manager or Director of Pharmacy Services.

NOTE: IT IS REQUIRED THAT A LICENSED PHARMACIST SUPERVISE EACH OF THESE DUTIES AND GIVES APPROVAL OF EACH TASK PRIOR TO HAVING THE MEDICATIONS DISPENSED TO THE PATIENT OR PATIENTS' AGENT.Marginal Job Functions:1. Assists the Pharmacy Manager and Director of Pharmacy Services on special projects.

2. Performs clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, taking meeting minutes amongst others.Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:1. Proficient data entry and computer skills.

2. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.Job Requirements: Required Certifications/Licensures:Must be registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy.Required Education:High School Diploma or EquivalentMajor (if required): Required Experience:Pharmacy Technician Level I:
1. Completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.

Pharmacy Technician Level II:
1. Completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.
2. Minimum of one (1) year's experience as a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Pharmacy Technician Level III:
1. Completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy approved pharmacy technician training program.
2. Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a registered Pharmacy Technician and certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.Preferred Qualifications: Is this a safety sensitive position?No Background Screening Required?Yes Pre-Employment Conditions:
