Subject to Grant Funding?:No Essential Job Functions:1. Assists in managing operations to ensure continuous improvement of student services that increase engagement & retention.
2. Acts as liaison between students, faculty, and college and university departments.
3. Contacts prospective students to present information and/or explain available programs and services. Communicates with prospects about admission requirements, program offerings, curriculum, and/or basic financial aid information by telephone or email.
4. Provides assistance in completing application and enrollment documents.
5. Coordinates activities required for enrollment, such as CPR training, inoculations, and/or fingerprinting.
6. Reviews registration statistics and consults with senior management to develop registration policies.
7. Plans and conducts orientation programs, student ceremonies, and/or group conferences to promote the adjustment of individuals to new life experiences, such as starting college or a career.
8. Coordinates or participates in promotional activities, including conferences, educational fairs, career days, campus tours, or special events to present programs to prospective students.
9. Assists with the planning and execution of marketing and community outreach events.
10. Facilitates preliminary and qualifying exams.
11. Coordinates test administration and outcome reporting.
12. Schedules and administers examinations, including designating rooms, selecting and training proctors, ensuring computer accessibility, and making alternative arrangements. Ensures that ADA, accreditation, and/or credentialing agency requirements are met.
13. Ensures compliance of grading process with College policies and procedures.
14. Oversees the completion of faculty evaluations by students, compiles and tabulates results, and writes executive summaries.
15. Tracks and monitors student academic progress for assigned program(s) or cohorts.
16. Reviews degree plans, degree applications, transcripts, and all other pertinent materials to ensure that students meet graduation requirements.
17. Notifies students of academic progress toward graduation.
18. Prepares and delivers required student information to state credentialing agencies.
19. Responds to requests for student information, as appropriate, from students, credentialing agencies, and/or other institutions.
20. Participates in the determination of awards, grants, and/or scholarships.
21. Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
22. Counsels students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, progress toward graduation, and career decisions. May conduct exit interviews for student withdrawals.
23. Acts as advisor to student organizations, ensuring adherence to college and university policies and procedures.
24. Advises student organizations and assists with their efforts to arrange special events, such as fundraisers, receptions, professional networking opportunities, and/or symposiums.
25. Provides students with information on topics, such as college degree programs, admission requirements, and financial aid opportunities.
26. Develops and conducts training or information sessions on diverse topics of interest to students, such as curriculum planning, registration, credentialing, stress and time management, and cultural sensitivity.
27. Assists in establishing contracts with employers or institutions to create experiential learning opportunities such as internships, practicums, and/or employment opportunities for students. Monitors contracts and affiliation agreements to ensure compliance.
28. Assists in facilitating student grievance and discipline processes.
29. Considers, resolves, and responds to student petitions.
30. Maintains or monitors departmental and/or program websites.
31. Coordinates the production and dissemination of university publications, such as course catalogs and class schedules.
32. Develops and produces marketing materials promoting student events such as orientation, graduation, other ceremonies, and/or conferences.
33. Drafts and edits student policies and procedures for approval by senior management.
34. Generates reports to ensure timely information is available for management use.
35. Participates in budget preparation and administration, coordinating purchasing and documentation and monitoring departmental expenditures.
36. Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.
37. Participates in college and university committee activities as assigned.
38. Assists in the recruitment, selection, and supervision of student employees and graduate assistants.
39. Provides feedback and recommendations to management regarding recruiting strategies, customer service, communications, and/or recruitment programs.
40. Completes special projects as assigned.
41. Performs other duties as assigned or required.
