Job Description:


A full-time, year-round, grant-funded* position to provide advising to Adult Education students, ongoing data acquisition and reporting, and grant development and monitoring.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Responsible for development and implementation of Integrated Education Training (IET).
  2. Responsible for facilitating orientation for incoming students.
  3. Responsible for facilitating regularly scheduled presentations on Career Pathways and co-enrollment opportunities.
  4. Responsible to collaborate with instructors to implement Soft Skills training.
  5. Responsible for verification of data entered by Learning Lab Specialist.
  6. Actively participates in the development and execution of the department's overall quality improvement plan and ongoing performance assessment initiatives.
  7. Works closely with other College departments to promote Adult Education at community events.
  8. Participates in professional development activities and represents the department at community, regional, and state-wide meetings.
  9. Serves on College-wide committees, councils, and task forces.
  10. Contributes to unit planning, assessment, and college institutional effectiveness efforts.
  11. Acts as a Campus Security Authority (CSA)/responsible person for Title IX and Clery Act compliance. Must participate in all required CSA/responsible person training.
  12. Acts in accordance with College policies and procedures.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
    *Continuation of the position is contingent upon continued grant funding.


Requirements:


Educational: Bachelor's or higher degree required. Bilingual preferred.


Experiential: Experience in education (K-12 or higher education) mentoring/advising, working with youth and/or programs serving the developmentally disabled preferred.


Other: Candidate must have excellent communication skills, ability and desire to work with a variety of people of diverse backgrounds, and record of successful and proven leadership. Ability to work flexible work schedules as needed.
