GGC invites applicants for a faculty position at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level starting August 1, 2022 in Chemistry & Biochemistry with expertise in the area of Fermentation Science, Food Science or related field. Individuals with industry experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications received by March 1, 2022, will receive full consideration. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of a proposed Fermentation Science track within the Chemistry major program that meets the needs of regional biochemical industries. Teaching of introductory and upper-level chemistry courses and laboratories is required with an emphasis on teaching fermentation science. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement and research, as well as service to the college and community. The Chemistry discipline is interested in candidates who value working with students from diverse backgrounds and who have a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for all students regardless of background. The candidate will be expected to perform additional duties, as assigned.

M.S. degree for Instructor, Doctorate (Ph.D.) degree for Assistant, Associate and Full Professors. Examples of degrees considered include Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science, Fermentation Science, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology or related areas.
