Faculty Position in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management

The Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma invites highly qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the School of Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM). (Other ranks may be considered depending on the candidate’s qualifications and accomplishments.) The School will consider applicants with expertise in any field of industrial engineering and management, with preference given to those working in supply chain management, data analytics, Industry 4.0, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.

Qualifications: The candidates are expected to have completed their PhD or satisfied requirements for a PhD by August 2022. Although candidates with at least one degree in industrial engineering are preferred, those with degrees in a closely related discipline will be considered. Successful candidates will be expected to develop an externally funded, internationally recognized research program, to excel in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to serve the School and their profession.

School Information: The School currently has 13 full-time faculty members, approximately 150 undergraduate students and 120 graduate students, and has an ambitious plan for growth, recognition, and visibility. The School offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in IEM and MS in Engineering and Technology Management. The baccalaureate program is ABET accredited. Current research thrusts within the School include healthcare, manufacturing, system informatics, data analytics, transportation, logistics, supply chain management, operations research, and human factors engineering.
