Job Summary:
The Clinical Assistant Professor of Gastroenterologyposition will practice in a gastroenterology service line clinic. Thisposition is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students andresidents in the ambulatory clinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatientservice. Appropriate effort and activityin clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinicalrecord of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of ClinicalAssistant Professor. The position willwork with existing with OSU-CHS administration to develop an operationalpractice. This position may be split between OSU-CHS and the US Department ofVeteran’s Affairs (VA).

EnvironmentalHazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability tolift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of a Gastroenterologist.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Doctor of Osteopathy orMedical Doctorate
- Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma,Board Certification in Internal Medicine
- Devoted interest in education.

Skills, Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
Knowledge of allareas related to clinic workflow. The position requires strong analyticalskills, advanced multi-tasking skills, and advanced problem-solving skills. Computerskills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication andleadership skills are a positive. Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty,students, clients and providers.
