Working for the Associate Director of Development, you will provide administrative support for all aspects of Stanford Live's fundraising programs and activities. You will handle gift processing, gift reporting and acknowledgments; supports donor prospecting, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities; and assists with creating, planning, and executing donor cultivation and stewardship events.

In addition, you will:
  • Process donor gifts, including the processing of check and credit card donation transactions and gift data entry into applicable database
  • Maintain accuracy of donor records in database, including updating name, address, salutation, program name, and other information; produces donor lists for inclusion in internal and external publications
  • Handle gift acknowledgement process, including the timely production of acknowledgment letters
  • Provide development program reporting to support fundraising programs and strategies, such as monthly and/or annual gift and membership reports
  • Assists with the creation and implementation of annual direct appeals
  • Support the development team in stewardship programs and strategies with a high level of customer service
  • Conduct prospect research and prepare donor background information to support fundraising strategies
  • Identify a targeted group of prospects and donors to receive enhanced cultivation and stewardship
  • Assists with creating, planning, and executing donor cultivation and stewardship events
  • Assists with planning and executing Stanford Live Advisory Council meeting

Please note that this position will be based on the Stanford campus and will be considered hybrid with you coming to the Stanford campus 2 to 3 days a week. The specific days will be identified in discussion with your manager. In addition, this position may require working in some evenings or weekends depending on events.

In order to be successful, you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Advanced ability with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency with database systems, such as Microsoft Access.
  • Strong data analysis skills including experience gathering, organizing and analyzing data, and communicating/presenting results and recommendations in a succinct fashion to key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work efficiently, juggle tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and achieve goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a wide range of people.
  • Outstanding communication skills and exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external constituents.
