Applicants must have their PhD in History, South Asian Studies, South Asian Languages and Cultures, or a related field conferred by July 30, 2022.

Position Summary:

The Department of History at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the history of South Asia. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research agenda, teach undergraduate and graduate courses (with a 2-2 teaching load), and contribute to departmental governance. Faculty members are expected to support the college’s goals of creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
