Serves as a senior administrator responsible for providing equity-focused college-wide leadership, supervision, guidance and direction for enrollment services programming to include student onboarding and success, Advising, Registration, and Strategic Enrollment and Outreach services. Oversees and provides support for the Workforce Investment Opportunities Act - AZ@Work grant. Serve as a member of the Executive Council.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, implement and evaluate the district’s processes and procedures regarding records, registration, admission systems, and academic records. Maintain and ensure continuing development of the student module in the Student Information System (Anthology/Campus Nexus Student) to include the Reach and Succeed products.
  • Oversee the functions of both the Advising and Strategic Enrollment and Outreach departments to ensure best practices regarding onboarding and degree planning for entering students. Provide districtwide direction with regard to student communications including, but not limited to Ocelot AI Chatbot, TalkDesk and the Central Help Desk.
  • Assess annual plans for target areas and groups that will support college initiatives for increases in enrollment across the district. Increase equitable enrollment of diverse students into CAC and improve processes for integration such as registration, financial aid, advising, placement, etc. that better serve underrepresented groups. Develop strategic initiatives for the continuous improvement of all department processes.
  • Maintain liaison with State and Federal agencies, coordinate state reports, inventories, and prepare enrollment reports/statistics, as required. Act as certifying official for state reports. Establish process for collecting, evaluating and improving data in collaboration with Institutional Research.
  • Provide District leadership to federal, state, and college regulations relating to admissions, incoming and outgoing transcripts, standards of progress, graduation processes and programs and courses offered by the college.
  • Provide strategic direction to assigned budget, supervises, forecasts, and recommends additional funding needed for the departments. Act as a liaison between the community, students, administration, personnel, businesses, other colleges, state and federal agencies in recommending and developing ways in which to better serve the community and the college.
  • Perform other duties commensurate with the functions and level of the position to include the recruitment and retention of students.
  • Qualifications

    ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION: Master’s Degree

    EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressively responsible student services experience in a higher education setting.

    SPECIAL POSITION CONDITIONS: District-wide travel will be required. Evening and weekend duties may be required to support student services activities.

    SALARY:$88,805.00 - $94,133.00 (Dependent upon Qualifications)

    Transcripts issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a full translation (word for word) by an acceptable translator. Additionally, each foreign transcript must be evaluated for equivalency to United States accredited course work by an acceptable agency such as those agencies certified by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES).

    Applications containing foreign transcripts that are not accompanied with the above required documentation, will not be considered.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Duties require little physical effort in working with light (up to 10 lbs), easy to handle materials. Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, repetitive motion and viewing a monitor.

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
    Critical/High Profile Level Interpersonal Skills - Position interacts with some or all of the following: Governing Board, community groups, high level/high profile positions outside CAC, the legal community, political representatives, and international figures. The highest level interpersonal skills are required for successful job performance.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with occasional distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements. . Responsible for district-wide activities. Travel throughout the District is required. Night and weekend work will be required as deemed necessary for support of Student Services activities.
