Assistant Professor of Marketing (Tenure-Track)

Fontbonne University and the Eckelkamp College of Global Business and Professional Studies invites applications for full-time marketing faculty member, at the rank of assistant professor to lead the undergraduate Marketing program. We welcome candidates whose teaching and scholarship interests are aligned with emerging areas in marketing.

The Eckelkamp College of Global Business and Professional Studies is ACBSP accredited and offers various degree programs at the undergraduate and graduate level that provide students with opportunities for growth, learning and success — all with a broad worldview.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to teach a variety of marketing and related courses. Applicants with a demonstrated experience in curriculum development and experiential learning, as well as applicants with experience and a passion for teaching undergraduates in a small liberal arts environment, are preferred. Additional responsibilities include academic advising, committee service, and maintaining an active scholarly agenda.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Marketing or closely related field from an accredited institution. Individuals who are ABD in final stage of degree completion will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching at the university level in marketing and related courses.
  • Ability to assume department and university responsibilities, such as advising students, directing student research projects, supervising internships and participating in university governance.
  • Interest in curriculum development.
  • Evidence of existing or emerging line of scholarly activity.
  • Commitment to working with diverse learners and communities, including first-generation students and students from underrepresented groups.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching as a full-time faculty member.
  • Experience supporting students as an academic advisor, and/or an advisor of research projects.
  • Demonstrated industry connections with the ability to provide assistance with student employment opportunities.
