Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:High School Diploma/GED
Experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment including managing calendars and monitoring budgets
Experience proofreading, preparing grammatically correct documents, exhibiting strong attention to detail, and demonstrating excellent communication skills
Understanding of proper protocol, especially with high level administrators
Experience in providing excellent customer services through challenging situations
Experience with website maintenance
Bachelor’s degree
Experience working in a college or university environment
Experience using enterprise software (i.e., SAP, Oracle, etc.) for purchasing transactions
Experience using Student Information Systems (i.e., Banner)
Excellent attendance and punctuality
Knowledge of the universities organizational structure
Responsible for providing high-level assistance to the Associate Vice President for Academic Success and Dean of University College regarding general administrative matters.
Job Duties:Assist the Associate Vice President for Academic Success and Dean of University College with all administrative activities (including taking meeting minutes, maintaining calendar and initiating activities to prepare for appointments and meetings)
Type and proofread/edit reports, correspondence, and forms with strong emphasis on attention to detail
Prepare, review for completeness, and route documents such as correspondence forms, agreements, and reports for signature and distribution
Develop and maintain a filing system for administrative items such as purchase orders, travel forms, meeting minutes, and other reports
Assist in opening, dating and distributing incoming mail
Assist with various office projects and events including Common Experience events and New Student Convocation
Answer phones, email, screen or transfer calls, take messages; refer to other offices as appropriate
Maintain websites related to Academic Success and University College
Supervise administrative staff and student workers
Perform other duties as assigned
