Job Description Summary:

BASIC FUNCTION: Reporting to the Dean of the College of Nursing, work seamlessly with the College Associate Deans and program staff. Evolve, implement, and monitor the College’s assessment plan. Assist with the collection and generation of various assessment reports. Provide knowledge about up-to-date assessment practices and principles so that the College can better demonstrate achievement of its mission and goals. Responsible for coordinating collection of assessment data for all academic programs and work continuously to ensure compliance with CCNE and other regulatory board standards for the nursing programs. Work with internal and external key constituents who need College information on programmatic matters. Assure successful exchange and analysis of data between databases at the University, College, and program level to ensure achievement of our goal for continuous improvement. Lead the assessment processes to achieve and maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance of College programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Evolve, implement, and monitor the College assessment and evaluation plan. Assist all College members in incorporating assessment principles and practices into their work to achieve the mission of the College. Maintain up-to-date records and data bases related to assessment. Coordinate the communication of assessment information, reports, and notices with internal and external groups. Manage and evaluate assessment data from internal and external sources. Collect, analyze, monitor, and report assessment data related to programmatic accreditation standards and regulatory compliance. Generate necessary accreditation, assessment, and compliance reports to comply with URI and external groups. Lead the coordination of the college’s CCNE accreditation processes. Work collaboratively with the College personnel. Represent the College at University, regional, and national events or conferences as needed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Act as a liaison between groups on campus and the College in assessment matters. Perform other duties assigned by the Dean. LICENSES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Computers (PC and Mac), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Statistical software such as SAS or SPSS, and data management software.

Required Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

1. Master’s degree in nursing or related healthcare/education field.

2. Minimum of three years of experience in programmatic outcomes assessment.

3. Demonstrated experience in data management and statistical analysis.

4. Demonstrated attention to detail.

5. Demonstrated knowledge of privacy laws in academia.

6. Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

7. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

8. Demonstrated leadership skills.

9. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

10. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

Preferred Qualifications:

PREFERRED:

1.
PhD in nursing or related healthcare/education field.

2. Demonstrated familiarity with national accreditation standards (e.g., CCNE).
