- Oversees use of TAMs, InPlace, and other systems to improve workflow and efficiencies in operations to provide key information necessary to meet strategic objectives.
- Oversees collaborative team effort to assure compliance with accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirements.
- Contributes to innovative academic/practice partnerships with goals focused on preparing competent, diverse entry and advanced level nurses to assume transformational roles within complex adaptive healthcare systems.
- Provides visionary academic leadership in collaboration with faculty and the Associate Dean of Academic Programs to support development of curricula and programs that efficiently meet student, professional, and workforce needs.
- Develops and monitors metrics for evaluating the efficacy and efficiency of designated curricula, programs, and clinical experiences; recommends and implements revisions as needed.
- Develops and monitors metrics for evaluation of student outcomes.
- Ensures a student-oriented educational experience by monitoring and maintaining high levels of student satisfaction.
- Collaborates with ELT, faculty, staff, and clinical partners to expand the working relationships and build clinical sites and qualified preceptors for College of Nursing.
- Collaborates with the Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Division Chairs in planning of course schedules and faculty workload assignments.
- Serves as Ex-Officio member on designated faculty committees.
- Prepares reports in accordance with internal and external requirements.
- Participates in teaching within the College of Nursing, serving as a role model for professional and educational excellence.
- Define the goals, objectives, and deliverables/outcomes for process improvement to ensure efficient operations for Academic Programs within the College of Nursing; Communicate as needed with stakeholders on project progression, resource allocations as well as communicating delays, barriers, or other difficulties related to Academic Programs.
- Manage the coordination and planning of course schedules and faculty assignments for Main Campus and Extended Studies courses. Use course assignment and scheduling management software to ensure the accuracy of assignments, and workload reporting, based on the workload expectations.
- Organize the use of information technology and corresponding data bases to streamline the work of the Academic Programs unit within the College. Analyze course, student and faculty metrics including enrollment, student headcount and credit hours, admissions, completion rate, student demographics, and other information to help guide business decisions within the Office of Academic Programs.
- In collaboration with the Associate Dean of Academics, provides oversight and direction for staff professional positions and collaborates with the CU Nursing Human Resources Team on personnel related functions within the Office of Academic Programs.
- Provides direct supervision of four University Staff positions, including the Undergraduate Program Manager, the Graduate Program Manager, the Manager of Instructional Design, and the OAP Systems Support Specialist in accordance with University and College human resources policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Engages in other activities and responsibilities as delegated by the Associate Dean of Academic Programs.
- $110,000 - $130,000 annually at Associate Professor
- $130,000 - $160,000 annually at Professor
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Associate Professor
- Eligible for licensure as an RN in the state of Colorado.
- Current CU College of Nursing Faculty Member at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor in IRC or Tenured.
- An earned doctoral degree in Nursing or a related field in accordance with the Board of Nursing requirements.
- Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
- Eligible for licensure as an RN in the state of Colorado.

- Experience in teaching and curriculum development.
- Experience serving in an Assistant Dean administrative faculty position related to Academic Programs (e.g. Undergraduate Programs, Master’s Programs, DNP Programs, PhD Programs)
- Experience leading teams within an academic medical campus.
- Experience with regulatory, accreditation, certification compliance.
