Position Information: Duties & ResponsibilitiesEffort Reporting

    Work in the University’s PeopleSoft financial system to print effort reports after Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Review the reports to determine which should be distributed to department effort coordinators. Distribute the reports, respond to department and faculty questions, follow up with departments to ensure reports are certified and returned to G&C timely, and enter each report into the financial system.Coordinate with Grants Officer when a PAC should be reviewed before changes are made to effort or salary percentages
Liaise with other Finance units to develop reports in Information Builders. Work with G&C colleagues to develop best practices for customer service.

    Serve as primary point of contact between G&C and the Controller’s office to build reports that support stakeholders in the research community.Respond to information requests related to special projects from research community and central offices.
Website Administration

    Uploading new documents and information to existing G&C websiteRemoving outdated information on the G&C website
Other duties as assigned

    Assist with additional special projects as needed.Attend G&C staff meetings and other meetings as assigned by supervisor.Attend training as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
    Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field1-2 years similar prior work experience.Successful completion of criminal history background check
Preferred Qualifications
    Experience with accounting principlesExperience with PC-based tools including Microsoft Office Suite

    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated superior customer service.   Exceptional attention to detail, well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrated organizational skills.Ability to work well under pressure without sacrificing accuracy or customer service, handle a complex portfolio of work in an intensive, multi-tasking environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Must be comfortable working with individuals of all levels of the University and in a professional and courteous manner
