Student employee positions will be responsible for providing office and/or lab support to various departments across the college.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to)
Job functions vary based on the department that they are assigned to and the individual department needs. Department-based student employment positions perform the following functions (not limited to):
Greeting and assisting students, staff and visitorsAnswering phones/taking messagesOral and written correspondenceFile maintenanceScanning, copying, faxing, and mail processingAssisting with office and or lab equipment or machines (general maintenance)Other duties as assignedAlso:This position will work with cataloging and/or circulation. Responsibilities for each include:Cataloging:Processing new booksStamping and securing new booksDiscarding booksCirculation:Shelving materialsLight cleaningData inputSpecial projectsAnswering phonesAssisting patronsLight "information desk" duties
Must be enrolled as a current WCTC studentMust have a minimum of 6 credits Excellent customer service skills
