Job Details
•Responsible for the preparation for all ticket sales for Hofstra Athletics.
•Maintain an inventory of ticket stock, establish seasons and games in the ticketing system, facilitate season ticket sales and individual game ticket sales.
•Reconcile all ticket sales with the University’s finance office.
•Work with the marketing department to establish season ticket packages, mini plans, group tickets and individual ticket pricing.
•Contract with an outside ticket software vendor and serve as liaison with vendor to ensure Hofstra’s ticketing system is current, efficient and effective for department personnel and on-line ticket sales.
•Work with the corporate sales staff to facilitate corporate season ticket purchases.
•Coordinate with the development staff to track and monitor priority points and benefits for Pride Club members.
•Hire and maintain a staff of ushers and ticket-takers for all ticketed events.
•Maintain and reconcile a bank for all ticket sales and game program sales at Hofstra athletics events.
•Produce weekly reports for Hofstra Athletics ticket sales.
•Work with opponents institutional ticket offices regarding complimentary tickets and ticket purchases. Responsible for executing and reconciling all ticket sales for conference and NCAA tournaments in which Hofstra participates.
•Coordinate all ticket sales for conference tournaments and NCAA tournaments for which Hofstra serves as the host institution.
•Act as a liaison between the general public and Hofstra athletics for all ticket sales.
•Oversee and manage all ticket sales for Hofstra University events as assigned.
•Oversee a staff of one graduate assistant and student workers.
•Comply with policies and procedures set forth by Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and the NCAA.
•Responsible for knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. If found responsible for a violation of NCAA regulations, will be subject to disciplinary or corrective action, including termination if appropriate. Also may be responsible for any act or omission that may give rise to a finding that the University has violated an NCAA regulation.
•Report to the Associate Athletic Director for External Relations.
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
•This position requires working weekends and holidays and attending athletic events when appropriate.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required. With preferred qualifications in the areas of experience in ticket sales, graphic design experience, and ticket operations experience preferably in college athletics or professional/minor league sportsApplication Instructions:For consideration, please email a cover letter, resume and three references to:
