Job Summary:

The Center for Indigenous Health Researchand Policy at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is a leadingresearch center for Indigenous health. Our research funding totals more than$10 million, including four active R01 randomized intervention trials funded bythe National Institutes of Health. We also house the Center for IndigenousInnovation and Health Equity, funded by the Office of Minority Health, whichprovides training in research and intervention for American Indian and AlaskaNative communities across the US.

We are seeking a non-tenure track facultymember (with the option of becoming tenure-track) to provide methodologicsupport to chronic disease prevention research and programs. This position will overseethe statistical conduct of clinical and/or prevention trials, including issuesrelated to design, data collection, reporting of routine outcomes and adverseevents, and analysis.

This position is a 12-month non-tenure track position withthe potential for transition to tenure track dependent upon performanceappraisal, mutual consent, and funding availability.

Ability to lift and carry 8-10 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger,grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations.

Education & Experience

Position Qualifications:

Required:
- Ph.D. in Epidemiology or Biostatistics
- At least two (2) year's or moreexperience working as a Research Epidemiologist or Biostatistician
- At least two (2) year's or more of teaching experience
- Experience in designing epidemiologic methods for research studies, conducting applied analysis, and presenting study processes and findings to academic, professional, and local audiences through presentations and publications
- Expertise with data management and analysis packages, such as SAS

Preferred:
- Experience supervising staff
- Research emphasis on cardiovascular disease prevention, health disparities, and food security
- Experience working with Native American communities using community-based participatory methods
- Experience with CBPR
- Socio-cultural research experience
- First author publicationsand presentations
